Havencrest is owned and operated by Scott and Rose (Huxted) Morrison, along with they son Kyle. With a farming background for both Rose and Scott it is no surprise now that they have been successfully managing the horses and cash crops for 10 years, with more to come!

The farm has been in the Morrison's family now for many years, making Scott the seventh generation of Morrison on the farm. With the diversity of Red Angus beef cows, horses, and crops the future looks very positive for this farm!

Scott grew up on the farm and loved every minute of it, his passion had increased so much for farming that he attended MacDonald College and proceeded in to Farm Management, where he succeeded! After schooling, he then achieved his dream of owning the farm! Scott has worked many years on this farm and continues to do so with a huge passion for cash crops, beef cattle, maple syrup and last, but not least, the horses!

Rose, originally from Calgary, Alberta, now calls Dalhousie home! Having grown up with horses and the ever loving passion for them, it was no surprise when she enrolled in Olds College and graduated from the Western Coaching and Equine programs offered there! Continuing her education and always learning more, Rose is more than qualified to offer knowledge in many areas of the equine world! Her strong suit is the western horse world, from pleasure, to showmanship, games, and currently working on reining, she has more than diversified her knowledge to be able to offer you and your horses the most!

Certified with Equine Canada , Western Coach Level 1 and general components in western pleasure, barrels, poles, and speed events. English rider level 8. Always keeping a open mind with improving and learning for allowing new methods or ideas for both coaching and training, Rose has taken part in many clinics and competitions. Successfully taking part in clinics with many different trainers/coaches, such as, Josh Lyons, Craig Cameron, Jay Hayes, Beth Underhill, and Jim Anderson. Being able to attend numerous clinics and training seminars has allowed for diverse knowledge and ability to bring that home to the horses and students at Havencrest. Rose has also had the opportunity to head south and compete in Ocala, what a fulfilling jumping experience! Successful in multiple disciplines and competitive in dressage, jumping, western pleasure, games, reining, and extreme cowboy. All of these discipline contribute to a vast arrange of horsemanship, allowing you and you're horse to receive training and lessons with knowledgable advice, with experience!
